Celebrating environmental excellence in Bexley’s schools

Cory is delighted to have designed and sponsored the Bexley Schools Green Awards 2025, in collaboration with Bexley Council.

Eleven of the borough’s schools have been recognised for their outstanding efforts to improve the environment and engage their communities through sustainability.

The Awards celebrated achievements across six categories, with entries from primary and secondary schools, as well as colleges.

Award winners include:

  • Eco Primary School of the Year: Hurst Primary
  • Eco Secondary School of the Year: St Catherine’s Catholic School for Girls
  • Eco Innovation Award: Parkway Primary
  • RRR Award (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle): Orchard Primary
  • Eco Legacy Award: Peareswood Primary
  • Special Commendation – Eco Commitment: Crook Log Primary

Each winning school received £500 to support future eco projects and attended a celebration at The Clearing in Lesnes Abbey where they were presented with a trophy and certificate by the Mayor. They also participated in willow weaving and fire pit workshops, followed by a fossil hunt in the ancient woodland.

Councillor Richard Diment, Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods, said: “I am delighted with the effort made by Bexley’s schools to ensure our environment is protected for future generations. We believe these awards will allow young people the chance to engage with green spaces and understand how important the environment is. Congratulations to all the schools who won awards and took part.”
